A Little Bit About Me

I always had a creative streak when I was younger. Most of my inspirations came from the art found in children's books, comics, and many many animated films. From there, I  spent drawing different animals and fictional creatures from these fantastical stories.

As I kept drawing, I felt motivated to make art with a story. I attended The University of the Arts and studied Illustration as my Major and Creative Writing as my Minor. It was an engaging experience, full of both challenges and joys that I wouldn't trade for the world. At Uarts, I got to partake in opportunities such as being a finalist for the Richard C. Von Hess, attending the ELY (our Illustration Thesis), and picking up some commission work over my Sophomore and Senior year.

While it may be my job to make a piece of art for a client, I would also like to make my work be an experience.  I'm here to make art  not only for creativity but also for narrative communication. I believe that art should tell a story, whether it be through a simple idea or convey a deeper meaning for someone to think about. I'd like to show that illustrations can connect with others and tell them something new, unique, and even humorous. There's a lot of word that could be said in writing, but with art people can see the bigger picture.
